Garlic Croutons

INGREDIENTS

1 loaf crusty French or Italian bread, about 14 inches long
2 garlic cloves, peeled and cut in half
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese

PREPARATION

1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.

2. Rub the loaf on all sides with the garlic cloves.

3. With a bread knife, cut slices about ¼ inch thick. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet, brush lightly with the olive oil, and sprinkle the tops evenly with the Parmesan cheese.

4. Place in the oven and bake about 10 minutes or until light browned on top.
